Description

• The course is designed to allow students to complete an industry related National Certificate while working towards NCEA.

• Training is designed to provide students with basic workplace construction skills and knowledge
• Health: first aid training, protective equipment, health and safety requirements
• Tools: hand, electric, portable power, machine
• Planning: drawings, measurements, calculations
• Construction: could include concrete works, fence, timber decks, utility building, timber pergola, paving blocks, garden edging, retaining walls, minor residential maintenance

• A pathway to a National Certificate in Carpentry
• Employment in the Building and Construction Industry

In addition to the National Certificate in Elementary Construction you will

• Have the opportunity to work towards the National Certificate in Employment Skills and a National Customer Service Award
